Georgia’s Home Energy Rebates provide households with incentives on the purchase and installation of electric appliances, insulation, air sealing, HVAC, and other home improvement measures. Eligible households can get up to $16,000 in savings depending on their household income and/or expected energy savings.
Program-approved contractors play a critical role in helping Georgia provide energy efficient rebates to households. Network contractors will support the administration of two (2) rebate incentives:
- Home Efficiency Rebates (HER): Whole-home energy efficient retrofits
- Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR): Appliance purchases and other upgrades
Network contractors will provide the following services:
- BPI-certified, home energy assessments (for HER projects only)
- Electrical work
- HVAC
- Installations
- Appliance purchases
Benefits of being a network contractor include:
- Access to a steady flow of contract leads
- Promotional materials
- A business listing on the program website
- Training
To encourage contractors to participate in the Georgia Home Energy Rebate Program, the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) has outlined a process for contractors to join the program.
For more detailed information on how to get involved and the specific services provided by network contractors, please join the Greater Vidalia® Chamber and GEFA for a virtual event being hosted exclusively for contractors on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, beginning at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom.
