April 30, 2026 — The Toombs County Development Authority was pleased to award a $10,000 donation to Southeastern Early College and Career Academy (SECCA) in recognition of SECCA as an outstanding partner in community economic development, in general, and of SECCA’s positive impact on local workforce development, specifically.
The donation award, sponsored by the Authority with funds provided by Silicon Ranch, will bolster local economic development efforts in Toombs County and the entire region by investing in the workforce development of young citizens. The award reflects ongoing commitments of the Authority and Silicon Ranch to strengthen the community through connections and meaningful action.
“The Authority chose to invest in SECCA programming for students because they believe these students will make positive contributions towards the community’s future growth and prosperity,” said Pat Dixon, Chair. “The donation represents both our gratitude and our belief in the work being done to make a real difference, both for students, individually, and local employers, collectively.”
“SECCA thanks the Toombs County Development Authority and Silicon Ranch for making this donation award possible,” said Amy Gillies, CEO and Director of High School Programs. “SECCA, along with partners and supporters, hopes to continue creating lasting, positive change in the community’s workforce pipeline.”
