The 2013/2014 Leadership Toombs-Montgomery program is off to a good start.  The class participated in an Orientation/Advance on August 22nd and 23rd at Swift Creek Wings.  Charles Lang, Lang & Associates of Dublin, Georgia, facilitated the session.

Class members participated in a Personal Profile DISC Assessment, learned how to make teams work and took part in a variety of team building and bonding activities.  During the course of the program, class members will develop a Service Commitment Action Plan.  This plan will give them a unique opportunity to give back to the community and help them realize their personal leadership vision of service as a community leader.  Components of the plan include developing a personal mission statement, reading Steven Covey’s Seven Habits of Highly Effective People and implementing three significant goals to complete over the course of the program.  Each class member is assigned a coach to lead them through the process.  Coaches for the 2013/2014 class are:  Susan Murray, Karon Durden, Wayne Williams, M.D. and Chester Proctor.  Cindy Williams and Blake Tillery are the Leadership Toombs-Montgomery Co-Chairs for 2013/2014.
